Outdoor Club of South Jersey

Canoeing and Kayaking

Section and Activities Chair: Frank Pearce

The Canoeing and Kayaking section of the club has but one purpose to offer individuals a chance to have safe fun on the water. We strive to make the trips an enjoyable social outing and not a competition.

We are fortunate to have many local streams, which are perfect for the novice and still have nearby opportunities that the most advanced would enjoy.

Our home-base may be the Pine Barrens but our destinations have  included Delaware, Maryland , Pennsylvania , and Virginia.

Ocean kayaking is a recent popular addition, and canoe camping trips have quite a following. We have a four season schedule. The Winter season offers a few weather dependent trips, during the rest of the year trips are scheduled almost every Saturday and Sunday and often during the week.

During the warmer weather  join us  at a Paddling  Skills  Event or on a Sunset Dinner trip.

We have joint trips with clubs from various regions which offers our members even more opportunities. So if you have never canoed or are an experienced river rat, we have something for you...

Remember to always check the Updates Tab for the latest trip information.
